This is the most basic and most widely used type of tapered roller bearing. It consists of two main separable parts: the inner race assembly and the outer race. It is typically mounted in opposing pairs on a shaft.

Size Range :

ID 7.937 to 1562.100 mm (0.31225 to 61.5000 in.)

OD 31.991 to 1806.575 mm (1.2595 to 71.1250 in.)

Design Attributes :

- Single cone and cup

- One-piece pressed steel cage retains rollers on the cone and spaces them evenly

- Pin type cages also available

Applications :

- Vehicle front wheels

- Differential and pinion configurations

- Conveyor rolls

- Machine tool spindles

- Trailer wheels

TSF (Flanged Cup) TSF bearings have flanged cups to facilitate axial location and accurately align seals in through-bored housings.

Size range :ID  7.937 mm to 1270.000 mm (0.3125 in. to 50.0000 in.) OD 31.991 mm to 1435.100 mm (1.2595 in. to 56.5000 in.) Design Attributes :- Cup is backed against flange face to allow housing to be through-bored. - Accurate alignment of housing bores. - Reduced machining costs.

Applications : - Machine tool spindles - Gear reduction units - Automotive transaxles - Transmissions

TSU (Unit-Bearing) TSU bearings are self-contained, unitized assemblies that carry heavy radial loads and can manage thrust loads in either direction.

Size range :ID 30.000 mm to 45.000 mm (1.811 in. to 1.7717 in.) OD 58.000 mm to 80.000 mm (2.2835 in. to 3.1496 in.) Design Attributes: Self-contained, unitized assembly. Manages heavy radial loads and thrust loads in either direction. Applications: Automotive rear wheels Transmissions Gear reduction units Industrial equipment

TSL (with Duo Face-Plus Seals) TSL bearings are similar to TS bearings, but feature DUO FACE-PLUS™ seals pressed onto the outside diameter of the cone rib.

Size range: ID 19.050 mm to 68.262 mm (0.7500 in. to 2.6875 in.) OD 45.237 mm to 110 mm (1.7810 in. to 4.3307 in.) Design Attributes: TS design with a seal pressed onto the cone rib OD. One seal lip operates in the housing bore while the other seals against the cup face. Applications: Moderate- to low-speed automotive and industrial applications Aircraft wheels Farm implement wheels Idler rollers Side-delivery hay rakes

TSRB (Snap-ring cup) Size Range:

ID 22.225 mm to 117.475 mm (0.8750 in. to 4.6250 in.) OD 57.150 mm to 180.975 mm (2.2500 in. to 7.1250 in.) Design Attributes: Basic TSF design with groove to accommodate a snap ring instead of flange. Can be ordered with or without snap ring. Applications: Machine tool spindles Gear reduction units Automotive transaxles Transmissions

Fuel Efficient Bearings At first glance, you may not be able to tell the difference between this tapered roller bearing and any other. Upon closer inspection, you’ll find Timken® fuel efficient bearings are lighter and thinner than their standard counterparts. From improved fuel economy to increased reliability, fuel efficient bearings offer exactly what you want to build a better axle system.

Design Attributes: Advanced tapered design results in a 30 percent reduction in power consumption and up to a two percent gain in vehicle fuel economy. Power dense design reduces bearing weight by 10-15 percent. Controlled set-up torque helps you achieve more accurate settings, resulting in the highest axle performance possible. Applications: Light and commercial vehicles (original equipment and aftermarket)

454-Series™ Tapered Roller Bearings for Commercial Vehicles Engineered with performance-enhancing features for severe-duty applications, Timken® 454-SeriesTM wheel bearings help increase fuel efficiency, improve load-carrying capacity, fit in popular axle and hub designs – and simplify installation – helping you gain fleet uptime.

Longer Bearing Life and Performance As a leader in tapered roller bearing technology, we engineer bearings to outlast and outperform those frequently used on original equipment. Design Attributes: Engineered steel: Manufactured with super-clean alloy steel, these long-lasting bearings are designed to meet severe-duty application requirements. Precision profiles: Internal raceway profiles reduce stress on bearing components by distributing the loads evenly across contact surfaces – increasing load-carrying capacity. Tight tolerances: Uniform internal geometry, including angle of contact for cones and rollers, creates a precise match between cup and cone – extending bearing life. Enhanced surface finishes: Advanced finishing processes generate smoother surface finishes on races and rollers to reduce friction – helping increase fuel efficiency. Flexibility: Engineered for severe-duty applications in any configuration – dual and wide singles – 454-Series wheel bearings maintain consistency and simplicity within fleets. Compatibility: 454-Series wheel bearings fit popular axle and hub designs, allowing retrofit into existing equipment. Applications: Commercial vehicles (original equipment and aftermarket)

Set-Right® Commercial Vehicle Hub Rebuild Kits Engineered to help increase fuel efficiency and simplify installation, Timken® Set-Right® Commercial Vehicle Hub Rebuild Kits are available for severe duty, dual and wide single tire applications.

Design Attributes: Accurate Bearing Setting: Set-Right kits feature bearings that significantly reduce the width variation found in standard bearings. Our tight bearing width tolerance enables consistent and accurate bearing setting of pre-adjusted hubs. Consistent Bearing Setting: Consistently achieve proper wheel bearing setting, avoiding the need for manual bearing adjustment and promoting optimum bearing and seal life. Streamlined Inventory Management: With a wide range of part numbers, each kit features two Timken® MileMate® matched bearing sets and a precision-machined spacer (five common spacer types available). More Uptime: MileMate bearings, manufactured with super-clean high-strength alloy steel, precision profiles and enhanced surface finishes, feature high load ratings, and outlast and outperform competitor bearings. Applications: Commercial vehicles (aftermarket)

MileMate Wheel Bearing Sets for Commercial Vehicles Engineered for superior performance and increased reliability, Timken® MileMate® matched cup and cone bearing sets help increase uptime. Precisely matched sets enable easier installation and bearings will distribute loads more evenly, extending bearing life.

Design Attributes: Engineered steel: Manufactured with super-clean alloy steel, these long-lasting bearings are designed to meet severe-duty application requirements. Precision profiles: Internal raceway profiles reduce stress on bearing components by distributing the loads evenly across contact surfaces – increasing load-carrying capacity. Tight tolerances: Uniform internal geometry, including angle of contact for cones and rollers, creates a precise match between cup and cone – extending bearing life. Enhanced surface finishes: Advanced finishing processes generate smoother surface finishes on races and rollers to reduce friction – helping increase fuel efficiency. Flexibility: Engineered for severe-duty applications in any configuration – dual and wide singles – to maintain consistency and simplicity within fleets. Engineered to also handle the 2-inch offset loads found in wide single-tire configurations. Compatibility: Fits popular axle and hub designs, allowing retrofit into existing equipment. With 56 sets to choose from, it’s easy to find the right pair for the most popular applications, including manually adjusted and pre-adjusted wheel ends. Easier Installation: Matched wheel bearing sets make it easier and faster to install bearings correctly every time. Meets or exceed original equipment manufacturers’ specifications, including specifications for ConMet® PreSet® hubs and Spicer® LMS™ hubs. Applications: Commercial vehicles (aftermarket)
